Seventh week – find your why!
Standing still
This week I weighed in at the exact same weight as last week, total weight loss since the start 7,4 kg. This plateau was quite expected, it happens sooner or later and we have to be prepared for it. It is a good thing that the body gets used to the new weight and soon very soon the weight will start to fall again. Just do not loose sight of that fabulous goal ahead. Having said that it is always good to evaluate what perhaps did not go as planned over last week.
Sure, hands up I admit it!!! It felt hard to get back into the mode of exercising. The cold has still got a bit of a grip on me and with a cough going on I still don’t really want to do any cardio or wet hair (swimming) activities. Having said that I do walk my ordinary daily walk of about 6-7 km per day. Another thing that is hitting me now is last weeks holiday living…. Just as you do not notice weight loss straight away, weight gain can also happen with a bit of a delay. This is very good to keep in mind as the scales may not show any change after a big meal and plenty of sweets straight away, which easily lures you into a false sense of security. DONT FALL FOR IT! A calorie is always a calorie.
Mindset
GPs are obliged to take these potential risks into account levitra prescription on line when planning care for their patients at the lowest prices. Touch Screen Video Wall Options Multi-touch has taken the precedent over dual-touch for a lot of displays, but it’s levitra 20mg price not always necessary.Willpower alone will not last. You will have to look for your WHY! Why are you on this journey to a slimmer, healthier and happier you. What benefits are important to you? We are all on our own personal journey and different things make us happy. This is where last weeks little assignment comes in. Did you do it? If you didn’t, do not worry the slightest! Take a few moments do do it now!
This little exercise is not about the fabulous artwork or exact writing, yes you can do all that too, but this is about wording and finding out your WHY.
How to…
Take a blank piece of paper and some coloured pens. I prefer a big piece of paper, an A3 for example. You can also use photos, stickers or paper clippings etc.
Close your eyes and try to still your mind, take 3 deep breaths and slowly open your eyes again, what did you think of? For me Happiness is very important so i put that in the middle. What makes me happy, and most of all how is it all connected? There are things I would love to do, but my body needs to be healthier and definitely slimmer to fully enjoy them. Some things require strength, some things require stamina. And yes I am utterly sick of wearing tents, Id love something figure hugging that I could actually pull off. This is for me about confidence and about setting a goal and get to it. It is about finishing something to be proud of, getting that spring back into my step.
Vision board / goals
Your WHY
Put all your WHY’s around the main word in the middle, what will you achieve in the body of your new healthier you? Again do not worry about the board being messy, this is for you not for anyone else. It is what comes into YOUR mind, your why.
These are mine:
- Run along the beach in a beautiful swimsuit just like Bo Derek in that film, and yes I have been looking at swimsuits.
- Ride horses and regain my balance, actually not just any horses. I want to ride a racehorse up the gallop in Newmarket, it has been on my bucket list for a long time and I am going to do it! Yep I am making inroads into how I’m going to get to do this.
- Play with my daughter. I love being able to play fun and exciting games with my daughter, shes growing fast and I need to keep up as she gets faster, more agile and more daring. She has already convinced me to go on rides (roller coasters) that I never went on before. Living on the edge is never too late.
- Look Healthy. Skin definitely needs more TLC when the years are stacking up. Eating healthy is essential to a healthy and youthful appearance.
- Be healthy – I want to give my body the best chance ever to stay healthy for as long as possible. I want to invest in my life and health.
- I want to share the knowledge about health and herbs to a wider audience and in doing that I will do speeches. To do this I will need to look and feel healthy and full of energy.
- I love hiking and long walks, I need strength to carry a good sized backpack, and stamina to climb mountains.
- Holidays. I went skiing with my parents as young and I absolutely loved it. I want to give my daughter the same. She is worth an exciting mummy (not just one who rocks at baking cinnamon swirls). Same thing goes for summer, the holidays should include surfing, diving or whatever else she wants to try (more on my road from rags to abundance later on…).
- Confidence. All of these things require a bit of confidence and being able to shed weight and get into a healthier lifestyle is a big booster. Be the best ME that I can be.
- Abundance. I believe it is all connected, I have chosen to start with myself, and if I can do this anything is possible.
All wrapped up
Even if the scales tell you that your weight is not moving either up nor down, don’t get all worried. The body needs time to get used to the new healthier you. Embrace the journey and be proud that you have come this far! After seven weeks of a new lifestyle, old habits may start to creep back in. Be honest with yourself and try to identify these habits.
Willpower alone will start to fade and it is certainly very uncommon for it to last for the duration. It is therefor really important that you know your why’s. Do spend some time with the above exercise, grab those 15 minutes, that is all it takes. You are so very much worth it!
