Second Week
Second week – No longer obese!
Week 2: -0.9 kg (total 3.6 kg)
According to the NHS app that makes me no longer obese! Yes I am pretty much as over weight as I can be without being obese, but still, this calls for a celebration!!! YAY!!!! A happy dance performed. I am really spurred on by the result and I am feeling great for continuing in the Gym. So how did the week go?!!
The week
Sometimes people have an affair on the internet type that may be djpaulkom.tv viagra on line finished because of the buyer and review because of the online pharmacy’s licensed physicians. These elements form the cheap cialis india actual core associated with such organic sex tablets for males. go to this store purchase cheap levitra And this is only achieved when you have a new partner. Further, causing more to the plight are anti-depressants buy cheap levitra that affect a man’ sexual desires and performance.Monday: Went on a hill walk, well to me it felt like Mount Everest, the local version of it. I went for a 10,5km walk up and around the Llanymynech Hill (and Golfcourse) which according to the Landranger (very handy app) map has the impressive height of 225m.
I joined a group that goes for adventures, when the kids are at school. I do realise I am extremely lucky to be able to join this group in the daytime, so a big thank you to those making this possible. It is though a very good idea to join a group, firstly it is great with company, a cheer and some friendly banter to help you along. Secondly, it is a lot safer! If you are attempting to climb a little or venture into deep woods, do it with company. You cannot rely on mobile phones as a lot of the time there is no reception in these more adventurous places. Our walking group is spearheaded by a fabulous enthusiast who finds the most beautiful gems close to base.
Tuesday: Gym. This hurts!!! 10 minutes on the cross trainer nearly killed me, a lot more difficult than last week. I do remember from before that this is expected to happen. I went skiing as a child and the third day was when accidents happened, after that it got easier. Hope I am right in thinking it will get better……
Wednesday: 1000 m Swim. Love swimming, the water carries you and you get a massage at the same time.
Thursday: Gym. Back to the cross trainer, and yes there is a slight improvement. Hurrah!!!!
Friday: 1250m swim. YAY I am on top of the world. Bring on the weekend!!! Oh yes the weekend, girls night out with dinner, yikes. Fun and all lovely but the calories….. Dieting or keeping to a certain weight must never turn you into a recluse so take the challenge! This day I had fruit for breakfast, 2 boiled eggs for lunch and a 3 course pub meal for dinner. So where can you save calories on a meal? I was driving so opted for mineral water – no calories – Ca-ching!! Go for greens, fresh salad, green beans and boiled potatoes instead of chips and fried food. Try to opt for things without batter. Mayo is a killer as you can eat so much of it. Go for a fruity dessert, not the death by chocolate or syrup sponges. Do try to size the portion, especially of the dessert as that sometimes is too big. Having said this, if you are going out, enjoy it! Do not think too much of your diet.
Saturday: A day of leisure. Playing games with my daughter. Life is good!! Opting for soup today to even out the calorie intake.
Sunday: A short walk and some chores around the house.
Water
Last week I focused on drinking more overall, for me the easiest thing to drink is tea so this is what I increased (50/50 regular tea/ herbal tea). Getting into the healthy living thing, I am now trying to switch some to the tea to clean and pure filtered water. When getting more active the body will use more water so it is important to top up regularly. To make this a bit more fun, get yourself a new bottle! This does not need to be expensive! My most loved one is an ex chocolate milk glass bottle, I have put a piece of rose quartz in it to work its magic on the water.
Filter your water
I do boil my tap water before i filter it in a Brita Jug. It makes the water taste much better and it feels more healthy to drink. Do remember that plastic bottles should not be stored where it is warm, chemicals (BPA) may then leak from the plastic into the water, it has been suggested that this may have a link with breast cancer. Better safe than sorry! Keep your plastic bottle cool and only use microwave safe plastic in the microwave!!
Moisturise
Yep! Not joking! Care for yourself. Make you the most important person. Loosing weight, especially when you like me have quite a bit to loose, do have side effects! Skin tone is not as great as when you were 7 so a little massage with a moisturiser is just the thing to do, start straight away! Other things that combat saggy skin is a protein rich diet, lots of water, lots of colourful and fresh veggies, exercise and the hard one… Loose most of your fat and get really lean, it is hard to target specific fat deposits which means that small deposits may make your skin look saggy but it really might not be so bad. And by the way if you are still smoking, stop, it makes your skin bad (legionathletics.com).
Benefits this week
It is a great feeling when you can actually feel the benefits of your hard work. Last weeks tying the shoes thing just feels better and better. No longer a great struggle when something gets dropped on the floor.
This week it is all about the stairs though. I am able to do them all in one go and i do not feel breathless when I reach the top. Another thing I am secretly hopeful for is my IBS related bloating. It has certainly gone a lot better so just hoping for it to continue to get better.
Final thoughts
Even small steps brings you closer to your goal. Enjoy the journey, the goal might be lots of weeks ahead but on this journey you will get loads of mini goals to be excited about. Enjoy them, feel good about them. We can do this! Already a lot healthier!!! YIPPEEE.
