Lavender is a well known and much loved herb with a wide range of uses. Lavender bags has been used in cupboards to keep linen smelling fresh and summery. Lavender is also used to encourage sleeping. Recently its uses as a culinary herb has gained ground, examples are chocolate and lavender biscotti and the use of Lavender instead of Rosemary when cooking Lamb steak.
